Do I need a referral?

Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes — both in-person sessions at my Toronto office and virtual sessions are available. My Toronto office address is 3080 Yonge Street, Suite 5074, Toronto, Ontario M4N 3N1.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM.
Are you taking new clients?
Yes.
How long must I wait for a psychoeducational or other type of assessment?
Assessments, including psychoeducational assessments, typically can begin within two weeks of when they are first requested.
How long must I wait to be seen in psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy typically can begin within two weeks of when it is first requested.
What is the fee for psychotherapy?
The fee for therapy is $250 per session, whether individual or couples.
What is the assessment fee?
Assessment fees depend on the scope of the assessment and can be discussed in detail at your free telephone consultation. For purposes of illustration, typical assessment fees are: psychoeducational $3,800; gifted $1,200; ADHD and other diagnostic assessments $1,200.
What form of payment do you take?
Payment is due at the end of each session. Electronic funds transfer (e-transfer) is preferred. Cash or cheque is also accepted. You will receive a receipt for your records which you may then submit for insurance purposes should you wish.
Are your services covered by insurance?
Psychologists' fees are not covered by OHIP. They may be covered by employer benefits or private extended health insurance plans. Check your plan for its psychology coverage. You pay for services directly, and then submit your receipts for any reimbursement for which you are eligible.
How long does therapy take?
It varies — with the person, the situation, and the goals we set together in the first session. That's a question I can speak to concretely at your free consultation, once I understand what you're dealing with.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes. What you share is confidential within the limits set by law, ethical considerations, and standards of good practice. Limits regarding confidentiality will be discussed before our work begins.
Do you prescribe medication?
No — psychologists in Ontario don't prescribe. Where medication may be worth exploring, I can coordinate with your family physician.
Where is your office? Is there parking? Is your office wheelchair accessible?
3080 Yonge Street, Suite 5074 — at Yonge & Lawrence, directly accessible from the Lawrence Subway Station. Parking is available underneath the building and at a Green P parking lot approximately two blocks north. Limited street parking may also be available. Both the building and my office are wheelchair accessible.
